Megalithic Architecture

The first builders in prehistoric Brittany

This exhibition shows, through rich collections loaned by the Musée de la Préhistoire of Carnac (France). The main monuments and the evolution of the first stone architecture in the world, from the 5th to the 3rd millenium B.C. The daily life of man during that period is broadly presented through an exceptionally wide array of objects both common (poterry, tools...) and ritual (jewels, weapons, figurines...) and of a specially large collection of photographs. An exclusive exhibit   a lifestyle molding of the megalith found in Gravinis (Morbihan), the finest decorated passage grave in the world.
