From a geocache to another, travel through time and discover the beauty of the Viroin valley. Starting from the ancient fortifications in Roche à Lomme, at the confluent of the Eau Blanche and Eau Noire, this GPS rallye take you from Prehistoric to Celtic and Roman Antiquity and finally modern times. Villae, castles, cemeteries: your GPS will guide you through Viroinval Archeologists will meet you along the way to tell you the story of iconic sites.
Practical informations :
- Departure at 10 am from the parking of the former tanneries (Rue roche in Lomme, 35670 Dourbes)
- 15 km trail (paths, countryside)
- Snacks and drinks half-way
- Arrival at the Musée du Malgré-Tout, in Treignes at the end of the afternoon
- Shuttles from the museum to your departure point
- Possibility to borrow a GPS (in exchange for a deposit)
- Plan a picnic and walking shoes/clothes
